In recent years the negative impact criminal gangs have on the quality of life has become a growing concern for law enforcement and gang prevention/intervention specialist. The purpose of this website is to provide the communities of Maryland, Washington D.C, and Virginia with a general knowledge of criminal gangs as well as identify resources that are available to assist citizens address gang related issues. Through a better understanding of gangs, the public can become an essential resource in combating gangs and in helping our youth avoid gang involvement.
